What is the
€uropean Financial Planning Association (€FPA)?

€FPA is the largest professional and educational organisation for financial planners and financial Advisors in Europe and is the only Financial Planning Association created solely in the interest of European financial planning consumers and practitioners.

Our relationship with Consumer Advocacy Groups and European Policy Making Bodies helps to ensure that €FPA is at the vanguard of consumer protection in financial services and emphasises our commitment to the ethical behaviour of financial planning and financial advising practitioners. €FPA intends to become the standards setting and membership body for financial planners and financial Advisors in Europe and as such remains committed to overseeing the proper development of the profession as a whole.

€FPA advances the standing of the professions of financial planning and financial advising by developing and implementing educational programs which can result in €FPA licensure. At the same time €FPA organises national and international, conferences, seminars and other events, which assist financial planning practitioners in gaining knowledge and enhancing professional performance.

€FPA prides itself on its commitment to expanding the body of financial planning theory and knowledge available to practitioners by initiating and sponsoring scientific and practical research into financial planning and the related arts and sciences. €FPA also intends to publish professional and academic literature for the financial services sector in Europe.

The educational programs leading to the possible obtaining of €FPA's professional licenses, €uropean Financial Planner (€FP) and €uropean Financial Advisor (€FA) were developed by a team of respected academicians and practitioners from more than 10 countries and represent the mark of quality recognised across Europe. The ongoing development of our specialised Key skills and Assessment training program is fast emerging as the state of the art in Europe and will provide a practical real world learning experience for all financial planning and financial advising students. €FPA's development of distance learning programs also represents our commitment to professionals who are too far from training institutes or Affiliate Offices or too busy to follow accredited courses in a normal classroom environment. Taken together, our programs, our services, and our commitment to consumers and practitioners alike represent the very best that Europe has to offer.
